Project managed the strategic implementation of the Sunday Times Best Companies Survey and company wide Pulse Survey for an 18,000 employee organisation in the first four months of a joint venture. Both surveys were carried out in the first four months of the joint venture to ensure the focus on employee engagement was maintained during the transition. Achieved the third highest participation level (67%) in the 2011 survey of Sunday Times Big Companies.

Led and managed a project to retain critical employees who were venerable during a period of significant organisation change. Set up a process to identify critical employees (Over 500 employees representing 9.5% of the total workforce) and put in place activities to ensure their retention. Retained 96.8% of identified employees over a six month period against a target of 92.5%.

Led and project managed the implementation of an employee survey for an organisation of 6000 employees. This required a significant shift from a short interactive voice survey to a more comprehensive web based survey, together with the integration of the survey with an employee engagement initiative. Participation rates increased from 62% to 75% as a result of the development of a programmed set of change management initiatives and activities.
- Project managed a multifaceted initiative to increase levels of Employee Engagement within the UK arm of global telecoms provider. Significant increases in engagement were recorded both through employee survey measures and through feedback from employees directly to senior management.
- Researched the underlying reasons for regretted attrition of graduates on behalf of a defence company that recruited in excess of 800 graduates per annum. After the initial research, further work was undertaken to identify best practice of other high volume graduate recruiting organisations. Insights and recommendations were used to successfully create the business case and to reshape the graduate recruitment and development programme.
- Developed and implemented a sharply focused global employee engagement/retention survey on behalf of a world renowned pharmaceutical organisation. The web based survey achieved a participation rate of 91%, identifying a small number of high impact activities to enhance the organisations already high levels of engagement.
- Researched and developed the competency profile of an ‘Engaging Manager’ using critical incident interviewing of employees who reported to the highest performing managers as identified through the employee engagement survey. Insights from the study were used to develop best practice guides and other practical resources to increase the engagement of the other teams in the organisation.
- Developed a multi-rater evaluation tool that enables numerous organisation and their managers to assess the quality of conversations at work. From the insights gained, the manager is provided with a series of targeted development options and the organisation benefits from a statistical analysis of the ‘conversation gaps’ across the organisation.
